I suppose the world is so complex today that many people have a difficult time coping or keeping up. It's not like anybody wants to focus on their everyday issues or what have you, but rather head to the local mental health care provider to prove there is something wrong with them. Whatever. Paxil is one of those drugs that suits all of the disorders listed in the title. Ironic. A drug that treats depression also treats anxiety and just about anything else; the fix-all drug. Anyhow,...

Yes, its true! Seven years yesterday my drivers license was suspended for my first and only DUI. It's been a hell of a 7 years getting around as a construction worker without my DL, but its over! Yes, my idiotic, self-imposed 7 year sentence has come to an end, and now I'm off to the DMV to see exact ally what hoops I need to jump to in order to get that ever illusive piece of plastic back into my wallet.

My life has been so very complicated and full of change lately, that I really have not had neither the time nor the desire to blog. Depression hits everybody at some point or another. When I get depressed, I realize my poor-me conclusion that I'll never die, and am forced to endure the drugery of everyday life forever. Bleak, I know, but eventually it passes. Surfing YouTube a bit, I came across this video posted by many, and was unable to determine the creator. It's funny as hell. Was ...

Jen has made a comment(s) in reference to me on her blog, yet has chosen to blacklist me, devoiding any rebuttle. So here I simply have to say: Jen, you once referred to me as an ass-licking sheep; then apologized; then took it back. I'm standing up here, because you're to cowered to let me do so where you commented using my name. I referred to you as a British lunatic. Why, not because you are British, but because you are in my opinion a nutcase. This is not an ethnic slur, but simply ...

What on earth is the purpose of our children having a cell phone in the classroom. For that matter, do teachers need phones in the classroom as well? We send our kids to school to learn, not to chat on the phone. We pay our teachers to do a job, teach our children, not to worry about who is trying to get ahold of them during class time. As I see it, cell phones are little less than a nuisance in the classroom. A distraction that disrupts both the teachers ability to effectively teach, a...

I've been working installing pool tables again for a couple of weeks. It's not really my top skill, but the pay isn't all that bad. Anyway, I'm the junior guy on my team; the senior guy being a friend of mine of a few years. He's a great guy, but he's one of those 28 year-old men people that thinks he knows everything. It serves to mention that he really is very good, and is well skilled, but sheesh. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind being directed, but this guy has to tell me not only w...

What Christmas is for me. First and foremost Christmas, or Christ's Mass, observed on December 25, is the day that I traditionally observe the birth of Christ, my Lord and Savior. About two millennia ago, on a cold night in the city of Bethlehem an old testament prophecy was fulfilled when the Christ child was born of the Virgin Mary by the helping hand of her husband Joseph. Around the surrounding area an Angels voice resonated the birth of the Christ child to the land surrounding ...

Well, I walked in Monday evening to set up my account, for the 5 remaining classes I have to complete before my drivers license is returned to me. An ordeal that began in January of 2000. I walked into this place, that was unlike the last I was enrolled in, a private institution. Greeted by a charming and witty woman, who really bent over backwards to accommodate me in so many ways. Anyhow, she made it so my fist class began the following day on Tuesday, and my final class will be Janua...

Well, it seems as the President of NWIC, Dave the moron strikes yet again. My ex-direct superior Dan, the most skilled painter in the company, was let go on Monday. Dan, NWICs Executive Field Officer, has been a commercial painter in excess of 25 years, and IMHO is one of the best I've seen in my 15 years. The excuse he was given was the company could not afford to pay him. Well, I don't see how this can be. If any of you know how Public Works and prevailing wage jobs go, all journeyme...

From January 2000 to present, for various reasons, most of them as stupid as the plight that enabled my dilemma, I have battled the DUI school. Finally though, after yet another visit to the Marin courts and another visit to an all to familiar judge, the battle is drawing neigh to a close. Yes, the judge offered me yet one last referral into the DUI school; "This is the last one Lou. Next time it will be 19 hours in the county jail". I couldn't help but to suppress a smirk, 19 hours indeed...

I've been divorced for a decade or so now, so I've had plenty of training in the domestic area. It hasn't been much of an issue the past 3 years or so, as my companion pretty much takes care of the bulk of our domestic chores. However, as some of you may have read, thats all coming to an end tomorrow, and I'm back to being a bachelor yet again; at least for a while. Anyhow, when it comes to domestic chores, I have to admit I'm pretty lazy. Unfortunately, I can't stand living in a pig s...

In January of 2000, I finally did it. I was living on the Peninsula and drove to Santa Rosa to pick up my payroll. I stopped off at a bar in Novato on the way home, as was customary at the end of most work days. Of course I over-did it; pretty much like I did everyday back then. So about 2 hours and $50 in drinks later, I headed off to SanRafael where I had lived for many years prior, to get some weed from a friend of mine. I cruised down the 101 freeway, and took the Anderson exit. I stop...
