I test my ISPs speed from my PC about once per month. It seems as Comcasy must have bumped my downstreem soeed, as I pay for 6mbps service, and no matter where I test from, it's been greater than that.
Do you use: Cable? DSL? Dialup?
What are the results of your best recent speedtest?
Click on the link below bringing you to the DSL reports tools/speedtest page, perform the speed test, and post your results.

Redone mine cos I was curious as to why several recent downloads never got above 4 to 5 kbs....dial up speeds on a broadband connection.
DSLNet Australia SpeedTest
Your current bandwidth reading is:
1.32 Mbps
which means you can download at 168.89 KB/sec. from our servers.
It's actually higher than my last result of 1.28Mbps....so I'm guessing the slower d/l speeds may be due to bandwith issues with some of those sites.
