The babble of a middle-aged lunatic.
David Paszkiewicz , a Kearney, NJ high school history teacher, and local Baptist preacher seems to have got his vocations crossed.

Junior Matthew Le Claire, a non-Christian, had recorded at least one of Petkiewicz's lectures that contain the teachers quote, "you belong in hell." Matt also reports that during the first week of classes, Mr. Paszkiewicz spent more time teaching about heaven and hell that he did US and world history.

Paszkiewicz also lectured that the Big Bang theory is unscientific and to be dismissed in favor of creationism. He also continues on that dinosaurs we present on Noah's Ark.

On Sept. 14 -- the fourth day of class -- Paszkiewicz is on tape saying, "He (God) did everything in his power to make sure that you could go to heaven, so much so that he took your sin on his own body, suffered your pains for you and he's saying, 'Please accept me, believe me. If you reject that, you belong in hell. The outcome is your prerogative. But the way I see it, God himself sent his only son to die for David Paszkiewicz on that cross ... And if you reject that, then it really is to hell with you."

Matt, being of a non-Christan origin, wanted to report this to the school administration, but was afraid Paszkiewicz would deny his claims, and that nobody would take the word of students over a teacher.

OK people, I feel it's bad enough this moron teacher has taken it upon himself to devise his own curriculum, instead of following state and federal guidelines, but really, to force his religious opinions as fact down our children's throats as is down right criminal; especially when you take in account there may be non-Christian students, like Matt, in the classroom.

What bothers me most is that Matt was afraid to talk to anybody about this because he feared he would not be believed over a teacher. This is a perfect example of how powerful teachers are. We teach our kids to respect them and to listen to what they say, because they are supposed to be scholars themselves, and enriching young and impressionable minds.

Its no different than a lawyer breaking the law. If this were to happen, sanctions, suspension, and/or dis-barring would be enforced on the law breaking lawyer. Why? Because he is an authority on the law, and has been licensed by the state. This idiot Paszkiewicz has been licensed by the state to teach history in a NJ high school, not religion of any kind. But what penalty has this teacher paid for offending and/or assaulting these students? none.

Where Matt's fears real? Yes. The Superintendent Robert Mooney of the school quoted, "I would never have suspected something like this went on in a public school," LaClair said yesterday. "If I didn't have those CDs, everything would have been dismissed."

Mooney refers to Paszkiewicz as being "a wonderful teacher".

To date, nothing has happened to this teacher.

A sad state of affairs my friends, sad indeed.

It sounds to me like this guy should just stick to the chucrh and stay out of public school. He obviously can't function outside of his religious vocation.

Apparently some Christians forget that they aren't Christ.  Last I checked only He can decide who "belongs in hell" or not.   This guy and the teacher who used Thanksgiving to teach kids that the Pilgrims were just a bunch of murderers and thieves should get together.  They make a good duncecap duo.

I'm hoping that you guys don't miss my point here. This man, a teacher has our children in his care. We trust him with the strengthening of our children's minds. This man has done far more damage than sin, he has possibly corrupted the impressionable minds of some of these children without having the right to do so.

Like a lawyer taking an oath to uphold the law, or a doctors oath to preserve life, this teacher has a responsibility for which he has taken an oath and has abused.

Our public school system has no right to force any religion down their throats as fact. He is a history teacher. If religion is a component of history, then it needs to be spoken in an open mind, from many perspectives. He does not have the right to make children fear to the fact that if these children do not believe what he tells them as facts, that they are cursed to hell.

In the United States, we are granted the freedom of religion, free from the states interference. This ass is licensed by the state, and violates that freedom to the very core. Parents alone have the right to send their children to whatever religious training they choose, it is NOT up to the school system to make this choice for any parent, and Mr. Paszkiewicz is a representative of the state in this respect, as he is licensed by the state.

All this, but yet no discipline has taken place to date.

This situation comes off as quite serious to me. Where are all you politically oriented with your opinions and diatribe, for this infraction bears on the very core of the freedom of religions and the separation of state.

hahahah about time we had somebody in the public school system on OUR side......

No, I agree if this was suppose to be history class then history should have been taught, not religion. Looks like this guy took full advantage of a captured audience. He should think about teaching youth group instead. Even so, he still needs to work on his four spiritual laws presentation....

I'd advise this guy to listen to the best sermon I've ever heard...."Hell's Best Kept Secret" by Ray Comfort, and then teach it to the youth group, not the history class.

He shouldn't be thinking about it, the school district should be knowing that his ugly, pathetic overbearing ass needs to be kicked out onto the streets.

And then laughed at heartily. If he wants be be like this . . . he should be gone. This is public school, not a christian school. Ugh. Makes me sick.

why should they? For one thing they don't do so for those teachers that are spewing humanism and other belief systems. We had one teacher here that had some sort of religion on extraterrestials and talked all about it and another teacher made my son very uncomfortable when the "Passion of the Christ" came out. She made some very derogatory remarks about Christians and would look at my son and ask...."Isn't that right?" in front of all. That year he had taken 3 English classes since he had decided on Journalism as his major and that class was the only "C" he received. He knew why. We couldn't prove it. We didn't bother fighting it and chalked it up to just one of many people he was going to meet along life's highway that abhorred the Christian faith.

I agree tho, opinions of the educators should be left outside the classroom door as they "teach" not "indoctrinate" the students inside the classroom.

why should they?

Because its a constitutional right not to be taught religion by the state, which as I see it is the public school system.

This kid can prove it, he has recordings.

If this idiot had made those kids say the National Anthem he'd be out on his rump. Bullcocky.

Tell your children they will eithier believe in his words or they will burn in hell...indeed.

If it was my kid, this teacher may be speaking through his gums for the rest of his life, and the school system just may have class-action suits on their hands.

Amen! Even if I agree with the teacher, (which probably wouldn't happen) I'd still want to kick him around.
