The babble of a middle-aged lunatic.
Theres been some talk concerning points a bit in the last week or so. Have a look around and you can see the various posts.

I got to thinking about it, and decided that this was worth a new post.

Draginol's access class of 9 really gives him a significant edge. In a couple of the scoring schemes, one's access class is squared and/or multiplied against.

Interesting=Your access class squared.
Insightful = 2 X Your access class squared

For example:

Draginol posts an article, and a user gives him an insightful rating> 2(9^2)= 162 points (for an insightful click)
Xythe posts an article, and a user gives him an insightful rating> 2(1^2)= 2 points (for an insughtful click)
Gideon posts an article and a user gives him an insightful rating> 2(3^2)= 18 points (for an insightful click)

Wow! (162) points vs. (18) vs.(2) points for an insightful click. I'm not really certain we are all playing on the same turf here.

I found it also interesting that nearly all the top JU users have an access level greater than 1 (citizen). Ironically, many of these folks say they do not care about the scoring system. I can see why. Why worry when your at the top, and most users being at access level one really have little hope in catching them because of the scoring scheme.

What does one need to do to raise her/his access level so as to be playing on a level playing field?

I might be mistaken on some of this. If so, please kindly correct me.

As for the Trolling, very seldom, since most of the trolling comments are anons anyway.

Cripes Doc, what do you paruse that you see trolls. In 6 weeks or so, I have not seen hardly any anons. I must be reading all the right threads

*sigh*...when am I ever going to advance a level? I'm just wondering how that happens...I've been here quite some time, and I don't get in trouble...hmm, oh well...maybe some day.

I never even see the insightful/trolling buttons anymore. They aren't featured in the forums, and once I've posted a blog I never really go back to in in the blog format.

No threats! No threats! That's against the ToS . . . are you lookin' to get exiled, Sabrina?!?

By the way, I'm surprised that when we were all being called ass-licking sheep, no-body mentioned your "conga-line of suckholes" line . . .

BTW, I made my famous Bar-b-que blackend chicken tonight....it was MIGHTY tastey!

You simply must give us the recipe, dahhh-link!

Marinade:

Olive oil
Liquid smoke
Chopped garlic
Lemon juice
Fresh Rosemary
Pepper
Splash of dry white wine

Wash boneless chicken breasts and pat dry with a paper towel.

Rub home-made garlic salt and pepper into the chicken.

Brush on marinade and let it stand for at least 1 hour.

Fire up the bar-b-que and make it REAL hot. Sear both sides of the chicken until dark and blackened to your taste.

Let the fire cool a bit, and continue to cook the chicken until its done.

This is great broken up on a salad, in a sando, and of course my vavorite, right off the grill!
