The babble of a middle-aged lunatic.
Candace Longworth, a 31 year old science teacher in Rock Gap VA is with a felony charge of disturbing and defiling a dead person from a place of burial and two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, when she took two students into a in crypt in Pocahontas, a town on the West Virginia border.

It seems as this moron was taking pictures of these students holding the bones of deceased coal minors.

Miss Longwoth faces up to a 10 year prison sentance on the charges up against her, and I hope she is sentanced to at least 6 months in the county jail.

Just what the hell was this lady thinking? What possible purpose could there have been for her doing this? I'm certain more of the entire story will emerge as the trial moves forward.

It would not surprise me to see this degenerate teacher brought up on additional charges as well.

Incredible.

Appearantly nothing is sacred anymore.

My question is what kind of relationship does this teacher have with those kids that this even took place?

I can't come up with a remotely logical reason for her to have done this...

Im speculating that there is more to it. They never mentioned the age of the students. Maybe they were partying or whatever and decided to do this crazy sh@t. Im certain its the teachers idea. Anyway, when it gets to court, much of the fact will emerge.

Silly bloody woman! Has she got no respect for the dead?

I can.  We regularly dig up the bones of 17th century explorers, and earlier century native people on all continents.  She just did not allow the statute of limitations to expire before she did the same.

What is different from digging up an ancient Indian Burial ground, a Pyramid, or a crypt?  It is only a matter of time.

As an educator, certainly this lady must realize she needs a permit to do anything of the sort?

As an afterthought, its not the question that she did it, but what could possibly be this lady's motivation for doing so.

Whats the deal with taking pictures of the kids handling the bones? She must not have a very good reason as she declined a comment. This will be an interesting one I think as the trial unfolds, IF she dosen't plead out

She better start looking for a new career at any rate. Any reasonable person is going to conclude this fiasco as morbid.

Would you want your childs teacher sneaking her/him off in the middle of the night, crawling into a crypt so they could take pics of themselves handling the bones of dead people? Better yet, what would you think if they were your gramma's bones?

Ms. Longworth and her fiance`, a former teacher in the county, got into a physical altercation in front of the girls' basketball team last year....so my nephew said, a student at RG.
